Registration for the In-Person and Virtual Races is closed. You can sign-up onsite on Saturday Morning (Cash or Checks only). The free Kids Fun Run is still open.
Lace up for the first-ever Knickerbocker Mile, hosted by Rockland Road Runners on October 11 at scenic Rockland Lake State Park! This flat, fast one-mile course is perfect for personal bests. All ages and abilities are welcome. Proceeds support the return of the Knickerbocker Ice Festival in 2026. Be part of Rockland County running history while celebrating community and athleticism. All registrants will receive a long-sleeve race shirt. Prizes will be given for the top three in each division, in 10-year increments.
The race will be run in heats, similar to NYRR's Fifth Avenue Mile, between 8:00 and 11:00 AM. There will be a Kid's Fun Run at 8:00 before the main competition.
8:15 AM - Women's Age Groups 50 to 59, 60 to 69 and 70+
8:40 AM - Men's Age Groups 50 to 59, 60 to 69 and 70+
9:05 AM - Women's Age Groups 30 to 39 and 40 to 49
9:25 AM - Men's Age Groups 30 to 39 and 40 to 49
9:45 AM - Women's Age Groups 10 to 19 and 20 to 29
10:05 AM - Men's Age Groups 10 to 19 and 20 to 29
10:40 AM - Youth 9 and Under and Make Up Heat

Course
The race starts near the tollbooth at the south entrance and proceeds north along the flat Knickerbocker Road to finish at Parking Field #6. The Start, Finish and each 1/4 mile are marked by white birdhouses on the left side of the road.
The course is USATF Certified, Certificate NY25047DNB.
Directions
Enter Rockland Lake State Park from Route 9W via the South Entrance. Park in Field #4 and make your way to the start area near the toll booth at the park entrance.
