When will my heat start?
The finalized heat timings are as follows:
8:00 AM - Kid's Fun Run
8:15 AM - Women's Age Groups 50 to 59, 60 to 69 and 70+
8:40 AM - Men's Age Groups 50 to 59, 60 to 69 and 70+
9:05 AM - Women's Age Groups 30 to 39 and 40 to 49
9:25 AM - Men's Age Groups 30 to 39 and 40 to 49
9:45 AM - Women's Age Groups 10 to 19 and 20 to 29
10:05 AM - Men's Age Groups 10 to 19 and 20 to 29
10:40 AM - Youth 9 and Under and Make Up Heat
Where is the Start and Finish?
The start is at the south end of Knickerbocker Road, near Parking Field 4. The Finish is at the north end of Knickerbocker Road, just before Parking Field 6. Runners can return to the start along the lakeside path that parallels the roadway.
Where Do I Pick Up My Shirt and Bib?
Collect your shirt and race number at runner check-in near the start on race morning. Runner check-in will be available until 15 minutes before the start of each heat.
What About Awards?
Awards will be given to the top man and top woman overall and to the top three in each 10-year age group. The awards ceremony will be held at the Finish Area at 11:00 AM.
Is the Course Certified?
Yes! If you set the course record (someone will this year), or any kind of record, your mile time is on a USATF certified course (Certificate NY25047DNB)
How is The Race Timed?
We are going old-school, with a stopwatch and tear-off tags. The tags will establish order of finish in each age-group. The official time will be that recorded on the timer's stopwatch, although we will have a finish line clock that should display the same time.
Where Can I Park?
We recommend that you park in Field #4, at the South Entrance. Alternatively, you can park in Field #6 and walk to the start to check in. Space may be limited, and you cannot drive on the park road to get to the Start. Parking Field #5 will be closed off.
Rockland Lake will charge for parking for anyone who enters after 8:00 AM unless you have an Empire Pass, so we recomment car pooling.
For those determined to avoid parking charges, you may be able to find space at Liberty Elementary School on Lake Road, a 5 minute walk away. Please be very careful when crossing Route 9W.
