This 2.5-hour outrigger paddling technique clinic will take one hour to cover proper technique and the biomechanics of paddling and before getting on the water for the second hour and a half to get personal feedback on each paddlers' technique. Both on land and on the water, we’ll work on body and blade position in relation to the boat and the water to optimize performance as well as increase comfort and mobility. Drills to improve technique on the water will be covered, as well as adjusting your stroke to varying conditions found in open water. Whether you’re looking to generate more speed, or stay dry in choppy conditions, this clinic will develop key skills.
No boat or not ready to get wet? Join us for the land-based portion of the clinic for only $35
About April: April started paddling at age 25 when she decided that being a couch-potato no longer suited her. Over the past decade she dove headfirst into paddling claiming four gold medals and multiple world titles in outrigger and stand-up paddling. April loves sharing paddling with new people, getting them on the water, and spreading the message that anyone can go from couch potato to major contender with dedication and time on the water.
