Lace up your shoes and join the celebration! In honor of Gardner-Webb University’s 120 years of history, community, and Bulldog pride, we’re inviting alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends to take part in the 120 Years and Runnin’ Strong Virtual Race Challenge.
Choose your distance:
- 1.2 miles – a quick stride to honor our 120-year milestone.
- 12 miles – a longer journey for those ready to go the extra mile (or eleven).
You can run or walk—on the treadmill, at your favorite park, around your neighborhood, or anywhere you choose. Complete your challenge all at once or break it up over multiple days.

Not everyone can lace up for the race—but everyone can still make an impact. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, you can join the 120 Years and Runnin’ Strong Virtual Race Challenge by making a donation to the Bulldog Cares Fund.
About Bulldog Cares:
Bulldog Cares is a joint initiative led by Student Development, Student Success, and Financial Planning. The fund provides emergency financial support for Gardner-Webb students who are facing unexpected barriers that could prevent them from continuing their education. This aid is designed to help with urgent needs and is not a substitute for financial aid. Students must first exhaust all available resources before applying. By giving to Bulldog Cares, you’re helping students overcome financial obstacles and stay on track to graduate.
