You’re Invited To Make Your Miles Matter
Join the 10K Miles: 10K Trees – REACH GREEN Virtual Challenge, October 1.
Move for miles, plant trees. Run, walk, ride, or swim (or however you log miles) all month long. Log your activity and we’ll plant a tree for every mile through our partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation.
Our first project supports reforestation of North Carolina’s endangered longleaf pine forests, now less than 6% of their original range. Your effort helps restore critical habitats and strengthen communities.
Registration is free and open to everyone. If you want to increase your impact, besides logging your miles with REACH GREEN, add a donation or ask friends and family to support your journey. Funds raised fuel Arbor Day Foundation projects where the need is greatest.
How It Works:
1. Register: Create your profile, complete the waiver, and set your mileage goal.
2. Sign up individually, join an existing team, or create your own with friends, coworkers, or your club (choose Yes/No at the bottom of the registration form).
3. Log your miles: This is how trees get planted!
4. Three ways to log your miles:
a. Sign in → Profile → under Upcoming Events open “10K Miles: 10K Trees” → scroll right to “Submit Virtual Results.”
b. From the Race Page: Go to the event page → Results → Submit Virtual Results → find your registration → enter miles.
c. Strava/Garmin upload: On the "Submit Virtual Results" page, upload a GPX or FIT file (no direct Strava sync).
Spread the word: Share your progress on social, tag @REACHGREENUSA, and encourage others to join. Every mile = another tree planted.
Why Your Participation Matters
Every mile moves you forward and builds a healthier, more resilient future, supporting green spaces and the communities that rely on them.
It’s that simple, and it starts with YOU.
