Description
The Idaho High Mountain Triathlon brings athletes to the beautiful, eastern Valley County region of Idaho. This challenging event takes advantage of the unique topography of the area from Warm Lake to Yellow Pine.
This triathlon begins at Warm Lake (elevation 5300') and ends at Yellow Pine (~4900') after crossing at a 7300' summit.
The event includes a Triathlon for able-bodied athletes; an Adaptive Triathlon; a Triathlon Relay; an Adaptive Triathlon Relay; and a Mixed Adaptive Relay (where at least one team member is able-bodied). Relay teams must include three athletes.
Awards and after party will be held at Yellow Pine. Plan to stay over after the race? Local camping is free. Contact us for information on lodging.
Registrations and donations are tax deductible through YPAC Corp. a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Funds raised will go to support local needs and the next Idaho High Mountain Triathlon.

This triathlon and relay takes advantage of the unique topography of the area from Warm Lake to Yellow Pine. This point-to-point race consists of a 1 mile, open water swim, a 27 mile bike ride, and a 7 mile run. It covering an elevation change from 5300' up to 7300' and back down to ~4900'. The road from Warm Lake to Landmark is paved. From Landmark to Yellow Pine the road is dirt. Traffic control will be in place.
Able-Bodied and Adaptive Athletes will be able to participate individually in the full triathlon or as a relay triathlon in teams of three (3) participants. Sign-in is Friday, October 2, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the courtyard at Warm Lake Lodge.
