About

The annual Wappingers Creek Water Derby, an 8 mile canoe and kayak race down the scenic Wappingers Creek will be hosted by the Veterans Sportsmens Association in partnership with the Aquatic Explorers Scuba Club. Originally started in 1970 by WWII Submariners, this annual race along the Wappingers Creek from Pleasant Valley to Poughkeepsie is returning for its 51st Run. 

Rules / notes

Some white water.

Staggered starts every 5 minutes. No starts after 3pm.
