Club Events

In addition to our annual Race Series, the Lynchburg Road Runners Club hosts a variety of free events throughout the year designed to support your training and build community. From fun runs to social gatherings and educational meetups, our events bring together runners of all paces and distances. Whether you're new to running or a seasoned marathoner, there's always something happening to help you stay motivated and connected.

December

Get Lit Christmas Fun Run

• When: December 8, 2025
• Where:  Craddock Terry Hotel side of the Bluffwalk 
• Time: 4:30 PM

Join us for a festive evening run, jog, or stroll through Bright Nights on the Bluffwalk in downtown Lynchburg! We’ll meet on the Craddock Terry Hotel side of the Bluffwalk and enjoy the dazzling holiday lights together.

After soaking in the sparkle, everyone is invited to gather at Depot Grill for dinner and fellowship — and as a bonus, Mondays feature all-you-can-eat ribs for just $20!

Christmas Eve Fun Run

• When:December 24, 2025
• Where: E.C. Glass High School
• Time: 8:00 AM

Join us on Christmas Eve at 8:00 AM at E.C. Glass High School for a festive morning run along the Virginia 10 Miler course! Choose your distance — run the full 10 miles or enjoy a shorter 2–3 mile loop.

New Year's Eve Fun Run

• When:December 31, 2025
• Where: E.C. Glass High School
• Time: 8:00 AM

Close out the year strong with our New Year’s Eve Fun Run — your last chance to log 2025 miles! Run as much or as little as you’d like along the Virginia 10 Miler course and celebrate the end of another great year with friends and fellow runners.

New Year's Day Fun Run

• When: January 1, 2026
• Where: Riverside Park
• Time: 9:00 AM

Sleep in a little, then kick off 2026 with our New Year’s Day Fun Run! We’ll head from Riverside Park toward downtown, and when you reach the top of Monument Terrace, celebrate the new year with 26 push-ups or jumping jacks to symbolize the start of 2026. Start the new year the best way we know how — running, smiling, and celebrating together!
