PARKING Attendants (3): Volunteers will be directing participants to parking areas, registration/start line area. This is a standing position and volunteers will be wearing reflective vests. Friendly, welcoming, and cheerful disposition is required. Hours are 7:15-11:00am

Set Up Race Day High Priority

SET-UP Volunteers (4/5): must be able to lift 25-50bls to help assist with table setups, pop-up tents, placing of race road signs-which will require strength and hammer/mallet or bend sign frame so that signage is visible to oncoming runners/walkers. Placement of signs from main road to parking areas. (Driving vehicle on road way of race will be NEED for placement. MUST have drivers license )

**When placing signs on side of road on course -will also be noting any hazardous conditions and alerting Race Directors of situation immediately by phone or by walkie talkie. Hours: 6:30am-8:30am

Lead Water Station Vol Station 1

You must be 21-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Leadership skills to ensure proper safety protocols which include overseeing that water station volunteers have provided gloves ON during event, passing out water by holding cup from BOTTOM of cup (palm) and water is only filled 1/4-1/2 way in cup. (This ensures runners don't choke by swallowing too much in 1 gulp). LEADS will also facilitate and assist water station volunteers on set up of water table (per instructions in the Set Up Bag), clean up of water cups, and breakdown of table after all participants have cleared course.
**All strollers--Guide participant to keep going --and not STOP at or next to table-- have them run past the table and off to the right side of course to limit risks of injury to all.

Once the "Balloon Participant" leaves your table, clean up should begin. DO NOT breakdown until you are told by the Course Marshall (biker) AND the Balloon Participant leaves your table.

All Water/Gatorade/Cookie Station Tables on course will require standing from the start of the race til the finishing of station breakdown. We encourage all volunteers on the course to cheer on participants, sing appropriate cheers or songs, and generally have an upbeat attitude. Hours: 8:00am-11:15am

FINISHER TABLE FINISHER GIFT/WATER/FOOD Volunteers

You must be 12-100 years old to volunteer for this task.

Details

3 volunteers will be placing water/snack on table for participants to pick up (if bananas then 1 Volunteer will need to cut them in ½) MUST will be handing out the items. 2 get cookies, water and snack. ONLY 1 cookie bag per finishing race participant until 11:30am TO ENSURE everyone gets one..all the 1mile participants too. ***IMPORT: ALL volunteers will be given gloves and MUST WEAR
• 1 Volunteer to pull up water bottles and place on table
• 1-2 Volunteer to cut bananas in ½ & place on table
• 1 Volunteer to put snack item on table
• 1-2 Volunteers help manage trash/breakdown and place in trashbags and put to back side of the table—making sure that bag can be lifted to haul away at end of event.
• 1-2 Volunteer to mark each participant’s bib (with sharpie) as they depart food/water line. Mark needs to be visible (Mark could be “F” but it MUST be a visible mark so that it indicates the person has received snack and water. Due to limited supplies, if the person has no race bib or their bib has been marked as received, they SHOULD NOT be provided. Direct the person to GEORGIE or Mara to get approval (where by Mara or GEORGIE will bring the person to the table to let you know the decision. –This is due to limited supplies and ensuring those who paid are able to receive the items we give out –we do not want to run out with participants still coming in and needing these items to re-hydrate or re-fuel.
*** Opportunity to help with breakdown and other race aspects are Welcomed but will require additional sign up for exact positioning. 8:00-11:45a
