Btwn 6:15 am and 6:30: Set up volunteer refreshments, check in your volunteers, direct them to their post (or Team Captain if applicable).
Grab the tub that contains yellow vests and orange flags (for course marshals).

! PLEASE ALLOW TIME FOR PARKING !
! 6:45 am: Volunteer Check In.
Receive assignment details. You may have to drive to your post.
! 8:00 am at the latest, you MUST be at your delegated post.
8:30 am: Start time for both 5k &10k.

❗️DO NOT LEAVE YOUR POST UNTIL the last participant has passed you "AND" the Course Sweeper volunteer notifies you of that last participant.

Course Marshals, then please consolidate all nearby race equipment (yellow CAUTION signs if any, orange MCRRC cones, arrows (if any), yellow CM vests, orange CM flags, mile markers (if any) at your corner so it will be easy for the "course cleanup crew" to grab -OR- if you would not mind, please bring back to the school to place next to the "WHITE" MCRRC van. This would be so helpful and very much appreciated.

10:30 am: Team to clean up and take supplies to the MCRRC van.

Water Stop: 3554 Baltimore Road

Details

Volunteers under the age of 16 must have an adult with them at all times. Would like at least five or six volunteers. This will be Mile 2 and Mile 5 of the same water stop.

Water Stop will be located on the EAST side of 3554 Baltimore Road apprx 50ft. into the RCT path. Runners will "not" cross over onto road.

Medical

You must be 18 or older to volunteer for this task.

Gear Shop Sales

Details

This volunteer will staff a table at the race site and sell MCRRC gear (shirts, shorts, socks, etc.). You'll be provided with a gear kit that includes items to sell, a credit card reader, a price list, and complete instructions. Ideally, set up before or during the race, then be ready to sell as runners are finishing. At the conclusion of the event, everything should go back in the gear kit, including cash from sales. The kit should go on the truck to be returned to the warehouse. You'll be contacted before the race to go over the protocol and answer any questions you have. If you're good with people and organized, this is a good job for you!

Course Sweep

Details

Volunteer, then run the race IF you are a super fast runner and/or want to double up your mileage.
Volunteers under the age of 16 must have an adult with them at all times.
Begin at the school driveway START LINE. Grab a couple of friends to help sweep if you would like company. Assure YOU are the last participant. Run the entire 10k course and "vocalize to all course marshals AND water stop AND medical volunteer" that you are last. FINISH at the school.

Course PickUp Crew

You must be 16 or older to volunteer for this task.

Excellent, if you are already an approved MCRRC van driver, BUT if not, we can obtain some info from you to have you approved to drive our Club van. It would be SOO greatly appreciated!!!

.....from the perimeter of the 10k course:
‐Yellow MCRRC vests, orange flags, mile markers 1, 2, 5, 6 (no 3&4), if you see any;
-Russett Road: Mile 1 turn around cone;
-Aspen Hill Park: 1 turn around cone; white MCRRC poster;
-Baltimore Road @RCT water stop + 1 turn around cone (driver+passenger);
-Linthicum Street & Marcia Lane at the RCT entry: 16 cones;
-Twinbrook Prky: 40 cones + 6 yellow CAUTION signs.

Equipment Return

On race day around 10:30, someone will be in contact with you for exact arrival time for the Clubhouse.
