Get ready for a course that showcases the very best of Massanutten’s rugged terrain!
The UltraTrax Challenge at Massanutten Resort, Virginia is a scenic trek through the trails and winding paths of the area. This event The adventure begins on the Western Slope, winding through a mix of flowing single-track, wide double-track, and fast mountain biking trails, before opening onto the classic fire roads that climb deep into the backcountry with a maximum elevation gain of 2,700 feet (course map HERE). Trekkers can choose between our 7, 14, 21 and 28 mile distance options, and level up the experience by adding a 10, 20 or 35 pound weighted vest or rucksack to earn additional swag.
There will be aid stations with water, electrolytes, snacks and bathrooms located every 2.5 to 3 miles along the course. Can you make it to the finish line before the 10 hour cutoff?
This event is perfect for beginners, seasoned vets, and those looking for a personal best. The course will be extremely well marked with a fun post-trek party for everyone to enjoy!

Trek Day Information
UltraTrax Massanutten kicks off at 7am on March 29, 2026. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am with the post-trek party starting at 11am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 3/15/26, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available on site. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch. Level 3 and 4 participants will also qualify to earn our coveted UltraTrek Grey Wolf medal. Refreshments and food will be available after the race.
