FAQs
Q: What is the time limit for completing this race?
A: All runners have 8 hours to complete the course.
Q: Can teams have fewer than 3 or 6 members?
A: Due to logistics and timing, only solo runners, 3-person teams, and 6-person teams can register. If your team has fewer runners (e.g., 5), you should register as a 6-person team, and one member will need to run multiple legs.
Q: Where are the water stops located?
A: Water stations are located at each transition point. Because of limited drive-up access along the trail, runners should carry water during each leg. Transition points will have water, snacks (bananas, candy, etc.), and port-a-potties available.
Q: How does pricing work for teams?
A: Pricing is per team. Team captains pay for the entire team and receive a special password. Teammates use the password to register at no additional cost. This allows team captains to manage costs and share expenses.
Q: Where are the relay hand-off points?
A: Relay transitions occur at the following locations:
Pawlings Road Trailhead
Riverfront Park in Norristown
Conshohocken Train Station
Detailed maps and instructions will be sent to teams before race day. Note that Pawlings Road and Riverfront Park are active roads with traffic in both directions—exercise caution during transitions.
Q: Do teams need their own transportation?
A: Yes, teams must provide their own vehicles to travel between transition points. Carpooling is encouraged to minimize traffic and simplify logistics.
Q: Can I bring a stroller?
A: Strollers are not permitted. The Schuylkill River Trail remains open to the public during the race, and participants will encounter walkers, runners, and cyclists. For everyone’s safety, please adhere to trail rules and stay alert.
Q: Is the trail closed to public use during the race?
A: No, the trail remains open to public use. Expect to encounter walkers, runners, and cyclists. Follow the directional rules of the trail and use caution.
