Air Travel
If flying is your speed, we have several nearby options to get to the Gulf.
Beginning May 2025, Allegiant Air will connect travelers from six cities across the U.S. to Gulf Shores International Airport (GUF) with non-stop, roundtrip flights. Cincinnati (CVG) and St. Louis/Belleville (BLV) offer year-round flights while the other airports are offering seasonal flights operating through November. The next closest area airport is the Pensacola International Airport(http://www.flypensacola.com/) (located approximately 43 miles from Gulf Shores) which is serviced by all of the major airline carriers. From the airport it is easy to rent a car or hire a shuttle service.
Another option is the Mobile Regional Airport (http://www.mobairport.com). This airport is located approximately 62 miles from Gulf Shores.

Travel By Car
Our beaches are in close proximity to two major interstates: I-10 and I-65.
Cities like Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville, Chicago and Houston are all within a day’s drive of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. And, we are just a few hours away from cities such as New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Birmingham and Jackson. Note: EV charging is available in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
RideShare is a great option for overall travel but is to be avoided on race morning! There are not enough Ubers or Lyfts out that early in the am!
Getting Around Gulf Shores
The Surfside Shuttle can provide transportation to and from airports as well as transporting you around town after you arrive. Contact them at 251-215-1919. Services include but are not limited to:
Tansportation (car service and shuttle) to and from Pensacola airport : shuttle $40 per person per ride at a 3 person minimum or $85 car service per ride for 3 Or less in your group. To your destination of condo or hotel.
Transportation to and from Gulf Shores airport shuttle service only to GS $10 per person, $12 to Orange Beach or $18 to Ft Morgan.
Transportation car service only from Mobile airport
Scheduled car and shuttle service (like Uber but scheduled ahead of time) all over the area. Amount due is based on distance.
Gulf Shores is a great place to get around on a bike or e-bike. We are happy to partner with Infinity Bicycles and encourage you to look into renting from them in order to get around on race weekend with ease!
