Yes, someone can pick up your packet for you. They will just need your Registration QR code that you can find either in your registration confirmation email or pre-race email.
Yes, bag drop off is available at the race village at Harbor Point. Bag check will operate from 6:30AM to 11:00AM.
Please limit your checked bag to the one clear drawstring bag provided at all packet pickups.
Parking for the Sole of the City couldn’t be easier! With over 2,000 available spots at Harbor Point you can easily park onsite and walk to the start and finish lines.
A few things to keep in mind when parking:

Onsite garages are most easily accessed by traveling south on Caroline Street and turning right onto Dock Street. This will avoid road closures near the start and finish lines.

Traffic will be busiest from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM. Plan to arrive BEFORE 7:00 AM to minimize delays and set yourself up for a great race.
If you are taking an Uber/Lyft to the race or getting dropped off, the best place to be dropped off is at Baltimore Whole Foods Market (711 S Central Avenue) as a convenient drop point. From there it’s a 3 minute walk over the Central Avenue Bridge to the Central Plaza in Harbor Point.
There are portopots located at Harbor Point in the lower level parking lot adjacent to the parking line.
ADA restrooms can be found next to the finish line.
There will also be portopots located at each aid station (approximately miles 3.1 and 5).
Yes, race photography is provided by Chessie Photo and will be available in the days following the event on https://www.chessiephoto.com/. You will be able to search for your photos by your bib number.
An album of race photos will also be posted on the Charm City Run Facebook page.
Registration Questions
All registrations are online and available until the race begins or it is sold out.
Sole of the City 10K participants receive this year's race shirt at packet pickup and a finisher medal upon completion of the race.
You can change your shirt size up until you pick up your race materials (subject to size availability).

You can transfer your registration to another person up until 11:59PM on 4/24.

You can defer your registration up until 11:59PM on 4/24 or until your race materials have been mailed or picked up.
There is a fee to do so as follows:

Race registration fees (and the processing charge from RunSignup) are not refundable. These funds are used to pay for race premiums, permits, supplies, staffing, and other costs incurred before, during, and after the event is held. To be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy.

You may choose to have your race bib and shirt mailed to you for an additional fee. The bib mailing option will close on April 5th.
Virtual participants will have their race packet mailed to them automatically at no additional charge.
Please note: If you select the bib mailing option you cannot defer your entry to the following year after the bib mailing cutoff date of April 5th.
If you are already registered and would like to add bib mailing to your race entry, CLICK HERE to log in to your RunSignup account. Select “Manage Registration” next to the race name, then “ADD-ONS” at the top of the page.

Yes, groups are more than welcome to register together. When you register, you will have an option to create a team or join an existing team.

Start Line
The Sole of the City 10K begins at 8:30AM.
The Sole of the City 10K starts at Harbor Point, near the intersection of Caroline and Lancaster Streets, right in front of Charm City Run Fells Point
Yes, there are 4 starting corrals, based on the expected finish time you entered during registration. A letter on the front of your bib will designate the corral to which you have been assigned.
The first corral will begin at 8:30AM, and the others will start shortly thereafter.
Yes, Beast Pacing will be at the Sole of the City 10K. Pacers will be positioned with signs in their applicable starting corrals. If you are in between pace groups and your goal pacer is in a different starting corral, you may move to be with that pacer.
Groups will be available for the following paces: 7:00/mile, 7:30/mile, 8:00/mile, 8:30/mile, 9:00/mile, 9:30/mile, 10:00/mile, 10:30/mile, 11:00/mile, 11:30/mile, 12:00/mile 13:00/mile, 14:00/mile, and 15:00/mile
Feel free to move back to a later corral (ex. A to B), but please do not move to an earlier corral.
If your training is going well and you expect to finish faster than the time you originally said in registration, speak with our staff at packet pickup.

The course time limit is 2 hours (calculated from the time your wave crosses the start line).
Water stops will be available on course at the following locations:

Water Stop #1 - Pratt Street @ Central Avenue (approx. 3 miles)

Water Stop #2 - Patterson Park (approx. 5 miles)
Each water stop will have water and electrolyte drink. Portable restrooms will also be located at each water stop.
Although we love dogs, they are not allowed on the race course.
Strollers and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the Sole of the City 10K course.
Headphones or earbuds are allowed but we ask that you either use open ear headphones (like Shokz which you can purchase at Charm City Run :)). If you use other headphones, please keep the volume low so you can hear all course directions from course marshals.
The course is designed for a 10K using the shortest possible path. Your watch may show a slightly longer distance as you weave around other runners, moving to stop at a water station, or take a longer curve around a turn.
Finish / Post-Race Party
The finish line is located at Harbor Point, just over the Central Avenue Bridge.
The post-race party is located at Harbor Point, just beyond the finish chute.
The post-race party includes the following:

You can purchase a VIP drink bracelet for the post-race party for an additional $28.50, which gives access to an exclusive open bar area and additional beverage options.
Please do not select this option for anyone under 21 years of age. Bracelets are non-transferrable, and Charm City Run reserves the right to deny service to anyone who appears intoxicated or cannot produce photo ID when requested.
Participants are reminded to drink responsibly, and always plan transportation ahead of time.

Results / Athlete Tracking
Results can be found on RunSignup using this link: Sole of the City 10K Results. You can search by name or bib number to find your result.
If you signed up for text message results, they will be sent to you soon after you cross the finish line.
Yes, spectators can track you using the RaceJoy tracking app. They can send you cheers and you will get alerts as you hit mile marks.

They can also sign up to receive text or email alerts when you cross the start and finish mats. You do not need to carry your phone.

You'll receive a text or email (if you opt in) when the race "starts" on April 25th.
Run your race and submit your results either by text message or email (if you've opted in) or by heading to the results page here by April 26th at 11:59 PM Eastern Time). Results update in real time as people submit their times.
