The Great Willamette River Raft Race has become a tradition for Willamette Valley families for 40 yrs. Starting in Independence at Riverview Park you will travel approximately 11.5 miles down the Willamette river to Wallace Marine Park in Salem. Kayaks & Canoes travel the distance in about two hours, others may take up to five hrs. So join a great event that will bring the family together for some summer time fun. Besides when was the last time you played Tom Sawyer and got out on the river and laid out on a raft? Or watched Eagles soar and Cranes nesting? Or remember the last time you watched fish jump up catching lunch? Maybe you will even see a Beaver or Lama! Start a summer time tradition for your family. Its all there waiting for you
