Event Description
Join the Pack at one of our favorite State Parks for a multitude of running opportunities!
The fun kicks off Saturday at 10 am with our traditional 5K, 10K, 1/2M, and 6 Hours of Power. In addition, we will offer the Mad Maple 50K event on Saturday.
Sunday will have the 5K, 10K, and 1/2M.
All registrants receive a souvenir race medal and lanyard, a custom race bib, a custom race sticker, a Wolf Pack sticker, Hammer Nutrition fueling products, aid station support, a marked/certified course, a timed event, accurate posted results, snacks, and refreshments at the finish line. Discounted race shirts are available for purchase and are delivered to your home address via Amazon Prime.
The Mad Maple 50K
- 7 Loops
- Run 5K#1-10K-5K#2-10K-5K#1-10K-5K of your choice
- 2,525 feet of total elevation gain/loss
- You must complete all loops to complete the event
- All Finishers, including 2026 Pack Pass Members, will receive a custom finisher’s medal
- Finishers will receive a finisher's tri-blend shirt via Amazon Prime following the event.
- Pack Pass members will receive a code to order a $10 custom tri-blend finisher's shirt
- First lap starts at 10 am Eastern Time
- Course closes at 6:15 pm
- Aid station support
- Complimentary drinks and pizza at the Hueston Woods lodge starting at 5 pm
- This event is included in the 2026 Pack Pass

Aid Stations
There are aid station supplies located at the start/finish, which serves as the 1/2 point for many of the race courses, and at mile 3 on the 10K loop.
Start/Finish Aid
The 15K will pass through after the first 5K (mile 3.2) and after the 10K, when they finish.
The 1/2 Marathon will pass 1/2 way (6.5 Miles) through the course, and again when they finish.
The 30K will pass through after the first 5K (mile 3.2), the first 10K (mile 9.5), the second 5K (mile 12.5), and after the second 10K (mile 18.5), when they finish.
The 50K will pass through after the first 5K (mile 3.2), the first 10K (mile 9.5), the second 5K (Mile 12.5), the second 10K (Mile 19), the third 5K (Mile 22), the third 10K (Mile 28), and after the final 5K (Mile 31) when they finish.

10K Loop Aid
The 15K will pass through at approximately mile 6, which is 1/2 way through the 10K loop.
The 1/2 Marathon will pass through at mile 3 and mile 9.
The 30K will pass through at mile 6.5 and mile 15.5.
The 50K will pass through at miles 6.5, 15.5, and 26.5.

FAQs
This is a two-day event happening on October 24 and 25th. The event starts at 10 am both days.
The Hueston Woods Mountain Bike Trailhead, previously known as Hedgerow Picnic Area.
The Hueston Woods Mountain Bike Trailhead. Packet pickup is at 9:15 am the day of the event. You do not need to arrive earlier than 9:15 am.

Race shirts are available for purchase in the race store. Anyone finishing the Mad Maple 50K will receive a free shirt. Shirts are mailed to your address on file. You do not receive shirts at the event.
The 50K has a total combined elevation gain/loss of 2,525 feet. The 10K loop has 575 feet of gain/loss, the 5K #1 has 205 feet of gain/loss, and 5K #2 has 210 feet of gain/loss.

You can leave personal items at the start/finish area or in your vehicle.
Race shirts are not included with registration; however, anyone completing the Mad Maple 50K will receive a free shirt.
Race shirts are available for purchase in the race store. Anyone finishing the Mad Maple 50K will receive a free shirt. Shirts are mailed to your address on file. You do not receive shirts at the event.
A trail race is a run of varying lengths that takes place mainly on single-track dirt trails. While there may be some road or gravel sections, the majority of the distance will be covered on "hiking" trails. Trails can often be rocky, muddy, steep, and/or uneven. Trail running shoes and a hydration vest are highly recommended.

Basically, we do not issue refunds, but please read the fine print...
Wolf Pack Adventures will issue refunds within two weeks of the original date of a canceled event. No refunds will be issued if cancellation is due to acts of nature, such as forest fires, pandemics, inclement weather, flooding, or wildlife concerns. Deferrals will be issued for events canceled due to natural disasters. No refunds will be issued to participants who withdraw or do not attend an event. No race "swag" will be mailed or held for participants who do not attend an event. Participants may transfer to another event. No refunds will be issued to participants who transfer to other events. We understand that everyone has personal circumstances, and we value our community. Therefore, we will allow injured runners to defer their registration to a different race, event, or the following year, or to another runner. For planning purposes, we cannot offer refunds to injured runners.
No refunds will be issued for poor trail conditions.
Please do not ask for a refund unless we cancel and do not reschedule the event.

The 5K finish line closes at 12 pm (2 Hours).
The 10K finish line closes at 1 pm (3 Hours)
The 1/2 Marathon finish line closes at 2 pm (4 Hours)
The 6 Hours of Power finish line closes at 4 pm (6 Hours)
The overall finish line closes at 1pm for all Sunday events.

There are water stations approxiametly half way through each loop.
Yes.
Parking is free and plentiful at the start/finish. The start/finish is the old Hedgerow Picnic area, now named the Mountain Bike Trailhead. Google Maps may indicate the area is closed, but it is not.

There are vault-style toilets at the start/finish and flush restrooms and showers available in the nearby campground.

We use humans to relay important course information, so be certain to silence/remove your headphones to receive proper instruction.

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome at all Wolf Pack events. If your dog gets excited and likes to bark, we ask that you remain away from the starting area until after the start.
