About the Event

Ramon and David are teaming up to run across the United States to honor all cancer patients! On April 2, Ramon will start on the East Coast and David will start on the West Coast as they make their way across the country, meeting at the ACS's Hope Lodge in Omaha, NE. This experience will symbolize a cancer patient's journey with the start line representing their day of diagnosis, the days following embodying their fight against cancer, and the finish line at the ACS's Hope Lodge in Omaha representing survivorship. Each day, David and Ramon will cover an average of 31 miles in honor of each of the 31 Hope Lodges in the US, with a grand total of about 1,600 miles each by the time they meet in the center of the nation. This endeavor is not about how fast they can go or how long it will take, rather it is a test of endurance and determination. Their goal is to bring awareness to the numerous Hope Lodges across the country and the crucial support they give to those receiving cancer treatment.

Join the Virtual Challenge

You can join Ramon and David!

Choose one of our virtual events and challenge yourself to running or walking 3.1 miles (31 times during the 2 month event period), or if you are looking for a better challenge, running or walking at least 31 miles per week, or invite your friends/family/coworkers and form a team that runs/walks a daily or weekly total of at least 31 miles.

You will be able to track your mileage on this site to match Ramon and David's journey (note: tracking will start on April 2, 2024)

Ramon and David will start each day by dedicating their meaningful miles to those individuals who inspire us to make a difference.  
You can have us dedicate a day to your loved one by donating $200 - click here -  or dedicate by committing to fundraise $300 individually or $500 as a team.

Fundraising Incentives
