About the Race
Each year in Montgomery Village around the July 4th holiday, the Montgomery Village Foundation offers residents and the greater community the opportunity to participate in either a 1-mile fun run, or a 5K race. The race starts at the Lake Marian Community Center and goes around the East Village community. For the majority of the race participants will be on park paths and sidewalks.

PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup and late registration will occur on race morning only, in the Lake Marion Community Center parking lot, from 6:45 - 7:30 AM. If you were one of the first 180 to register, your race t-shirt will be available to pickup as well.
PREMIUMS
We are excited to offer official race t-shirts to the first 100 registrants (so don't delay!). The shirts will be available on race morning at packet pickup. Please note that sizes are not guaranteed and available ONLY to the first 100 to register.
FUN RUN
The 1 mile fun run will start at 7:45 AM, before the 5K. The fun run will not be chip timed, but a clock will be set at the finish line. Come out & cheer on our young runners!
TIMING, SCORING & AWARDS
This race will be chip timed and results (both gun and net) will be posted on www.mcrrc.org within 24 hours of the race.
Trophies will be awarded to the top overall male and top overall female. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 males and females in each of the following age groups: 18 & under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Open awards will be calculated by gun time, and age group awards calculated by net time. There may be no duplication of awards.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be one water stop on the course as well as refreshments at the finish line.
NO CAN DO
The following is prohibited for all runners: strollers, baby joggers, skates, pets, and headsets. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
