SUBJECT: Update on the Glen Oaks 5K – Important Information
Dear 5K Participant,
Thank you for registering and supporting the Glen Oaks Magnet High School JROTC 5K Run/Walk. We sincerely appreciate your commitment to our Cadets and our community.
After reviewing our registration numbers and coordinating with school and city calendars, we have determined that the best course of action is to postpone the event and reschedule it for a date that allows more community participation. The new event date will be:

This decision is based primarily on low early sign-ups, and we want to ensure that all participants, supporters, and families have the best possible event experience.
We want to thank you for being among the first to register. Because of the date change, you may choose one of the following options:
✅ Keep your registration active for the new April 4, 2026 event
✅ Receive a full refund, no questions asked

Lace up your running shoes and join us for a day of celebration, remembrance, and community pride at the Inaugural Glen Oaks Magnet High School Army JROTC 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, April 4, 2026. This special event is dedicated to honoring the Military, Cadets, Community and Veterans of the Baton Rouge community—the men and women whose service and sacrifice inspire us all.
This isn’t just a race—it’s a commitment to the future. All proceeds will directly benefit the Cadets of the Glen Oaks Magnet High School Army JROTC Program, giving them the resources to participate in life-changing Service Learning projects, leadership training, and competitive events across the JROTC national community. These opportunities strengthen their character, sharpen their skills, and prepare them to become leaders both in our community and beyond.
At the same time, the event serves as a rally point for the Baton Rouge community. Together, we will celebrate our Military, Cadets, Community and Veterans, encourage health and wellness, and build bonds of unity across generations. Every step you take supports not only our Cadets’ growth, but also the spirit of service and resilience that defines Baton Rouge.
