Crafting for Kids

This South Fork River race is hosted by theLowell 590 Masonic Lodge to raise monies for children's charities. The race will be held at Goat Island in Cramerton, NC. Voted one of the top places to kayak in the Charlotte region, https://seakayakexplorer.com/kayaking-charlotte-nc/ this part of the river is closed off to motorized boats so all paddle craft will enjoy a wake free ride.

Paddlers from all levels and boat types are welcome. This is a flat water race for paddle crafters that are either seasoned competitors or beginners. Participants are welcome to use canoes, kayaks, or paddle boards. The course is 4 miles long - 2 miles upriver, turning around at the dam in McAdynville NC, and then downriver for a quick sprint back to Goat Island. Last years participants said it felt much longer than 4 miles! 

All participants will receive both a race tshirt.
