Description
The 2nd Annual BKM 4 Life Foundation Black Maternal Health 5K is a timed event in the campus of SSM Health DePaul hospital. This race course is a double loop around the perimeter of the hospital and highlights the challenges and the triumphs black moms face during pregnancy, delivery and the postpartum periods. Black women are 3-4X more likely to die during childbirth. This fundraising event raises awareness to improve care for mothers and babies.
