Northwoods Archery Challenge

Total Archery Challenge style event at one of Northern Michigan's great 3D archery courses.  This event hosts a 30 target, money event on Saturday, June 28, 2025. There is also an additional 30 target course set on the property for continued archery trial. 

The money shoot will be held on the Bear Course. This is a 30, 3D target course set throughout the hills and backwoods of Hanson Hills Recreation Area in Grayling, Michigan.  The money shoot will be a shotgun start at 10:00AM, Saturday, June 28, 2025.  Rangefinders are allowed. Prize money for all classes with amounts dependent on class participant numbers.

Money Shoot entry fee - $30.00, in person check in 8:00AM - 9:30AM

• Open Class - 60 yard max
• Bowhunter Class - 45 yard max
• Traditional Class - 30 yard max

Open Class has no limitations on equipment.

Bowhunter Class has limitations on stabilizers, no longer than 12 inches from mounting point on the bow (front and rear) and no lens in the scope housing. We follow NFAA rules for 3D events. If you need any further clarification please see the NFAA website for all class rules.

Traditional Class has limitations which limit the shooter to making contact with the arrow nock during the shot cycle of the bow.

Grayling Course is a 30, 3D target course set through the pine and hardwood forest of Hanson Hills Recreation Area in Grayling, Michigan. Targets will be set anywhere from 20 yards to 60 yards. Course will be open Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 9:00AM - 4:00PM and Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM.

Course entry fee - $15.00, in person check in begins at 8:00AM

Course Combo. This is an option for the archer that is looking to challenge their skills with a wide variety of shots on both courses in a single day. Archers will follow a winding trail through the hardwoods and hike hills finding 3D targets at various distances. This option does not include the MONEY SHOOT.

Novelty Shots - Long range shots with a chance at big prizes! (Please bring cash for novelty shots)

There will be a concession stand at the pavilion where registration is held. (Please bring cash for concessions)
