Join us this year on Halloween in a community paddle for charity! This is a pleasant paddle to benefit Camp Boggy Creek! The Tavares Kayakathon launches from 9AM-10AM on the shores of Lake Dora from beautiful Wooton park in Tavares, Florida and continues through the scenic Dora Canal onto Lake Eustis.
The paddling fun continues on through the Harris Chain of Lakes from Lake Eustis to the Dead River. There will be multiple stops on the water with local waterfront dine and drink specials. The event continues after the return paddle to celebrate with more participating restaurants in the downtown waterfront area of Wooton Park!
The total paddling distance is approximately four(4) miles. Distance is optional depending on where you choose to stop.
All paddle craft are encouraged to attend! This includes kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards! Paddle craft decorations are encouraged and since this is Halloween, we want to see your creative costumes too! We will have prizes this year for costumes and the most creative paddle craft!
