Charity Partners

Flock Cancer Idaho is an organization dedicated to organizing events to honor the legacy of and to celebrate breast cancer survivors, caregivers and their families and to use the events to raise money for vital Treasure Valley recovery and care programs which can improve those journeys.  We are a fully volunteer based organization with NO paid staff.  The money raised and pledged to Flock Cancer first goes to support the costs for the Street Stroll event, and then goes directly to our charity partners.  Our first 2 years we partnered with the YMCA Oncology Program and Bustin Out Of Boise.

The YMCA Oncology Recovery Program is designed to meet the needs of cancer survivors before, during and/or after treatment in a safe and supportive environment. Research shows that when geared specifically to the patient, exercise is safe for all physical levels of ability. Additionally, it is suggested that interaction with individuals who have similar circumstances may lead to benefits beyond exercise alone.  Participants partake in physical and social activities focused on strengthening the whole person and improving quality of life. By shifting the emphasis away from the disease, participants move beyond cancer in spirit, mind, and body.

Bustin Out Of Boise is a 15 year old non-profit founded in Boise as a 'gap filler' organization to walk beside cancer fighters, survivors and their families to help them during their journey with aid and services they might need to support them and their families.

We are so proud to be able to directly support programs and organizations in our valley that will directly help people locally!  We are excited to partner with two new charity organizations this year: Angel Wings Network and Surviving Hearts Cancer Support Group who specifically provide support and aid to our rural fighters and survivors.  With your help, we are going to make an amazing impact on cancer supporting programs covering Treasure Valley as well as rural communities in Idaho.
