The Legacy of Dan Sorensen
The best way to describe Dan was a family man. Each decision he made was through the lens of faith and family. He was very intentional with the ways he loved and showed up for people. Dan was a hardworking man who was humble in his achievements. He was the first person many people went to for encouragement and wisdom. Dan enjoyed many hobbies including running for enjoyment and running in races, either by himself or with his family. But his absolute favorite things to do were spending time reading his Bible and spending time with his family.
Although Dan is no longer with us, the impact of his life continues to echo in the hearts of all who knew him. He faithfully ran the race marked out for him, keeping his eyes on Jesus every step of the way (Hebrews 12:1–2). In every season—through joy, hardship, and quiet faithfulness—he lived out the words of 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” His life is a lasting testimony of perseverance, purpose, and faith. He showed us what it truly means to finish strong.
