Sign up to learn about beginner through intermediate kayaking skills from Tug Hill Outfitters experienced guides. This lesson will cover the following skills: Techniques for getting in and out of your kayak from shore and at a dock, proper stroke technique, different types of kayak strokes, self and assisted water rescues (learn how to get back in your kayak from the water), and other safety tips. We'll also discuss different types of kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and roof racks.

Tug Hill Outfitters guides will be on hand to answer questions about Stellar Kayaks. There will be several Stellar Kayaks available to test paddle and purchase, including recreational kayaks like the Stellar Compass, Stellar S12, and the S14S sit on top. We'll also have several surf skis available which are commonly used by people interested in paddling longer distances, fitness paddling, riding waves, and/or racing. The surf ski models will include an S18S, SR, and a Stellar Falcon.

Get out and explore Kasoag Lake solo or with friends and family for this scavenger hunt paddling expedition. Use any type of human powered boat for the event (kayaks, canoes, row boat, etc.). You'll be given a map of the lake with several flags labeled on the map that you'll need to find. Each flag will have a hole punch attached that you'll use to punch your passport. You'll have 2 hours to find as many flags as you can. Prizes will be given to any individuals/teams who find all of the flags and come back before the time cut off.
