On September 20, 2025, we will host our 17th Annual Mark Walden Walk/Run in Memphis. This event brings together hundreds of community members to raise awareness and funds for those impacted by sickle cell disease (SCD). This event will also serve as an opportunity to register and engage with persons/families impacted by sickle cell disease, registering participants to conduct trait testing, enroll in social services, receive educational materials, and partner with SCFT with donations and volunteerism. SCFT relies on the support of sponsors, contributors, and registered event participants to provide ongoing social services to individuals and families impacted by sickle cell disease and education/awareness outreach to the greater community.
