Our mission is simple: provide funding for the enhancement of learning opportunities not otherwise available to the students in Schenectady Public Schools. The SCSDEF was established when community members became aware of a need for additional funding that would support enrichment projects outside of the normal curriculum.

Since 2006, grants totaling over $500,000 have been awarded for a multitude of projects: a green house, musical instruments, technology, field trips and more.

All donations, large and small, are appreciated and tax deductible as permitted by law. We are grateful for your support as we continue to provide additional funding and support for our local Schenectady City School District students.
