Description
One mile down Main Street. A whole community moving together. Run, walk or crawl down Main Street, then celebrate at Deer Park Tavern, all while supporting the Newark K9 Unit and our Delaware schools.
Delaware Schools Awarded $2000 in Prize Money
Win up to $750 for your school's PTO, PTA or Booster! Fusion Racing gives away $2,000 in prize money to the top give Delaware schools with biggest teams:
The Details:

All schools in Delaware are eligible to participate.

Challenge ends at midnight Saturday October 3rd 2025.

Prizes will go to the five teams with the largest number of participants.
Creating a Team:
-
Create a team for your school (or group) if one hasn't yet been created.

Then, tell all your friends, family and co-workers to register under your school's team.

Schools with elementary schools and high schools must create two separate teams.

Teams must have a min of 10 participants on their team in order to qualify.
All Participants Will Recieve:
🏃♀️➡️ A custom Main Street Mile bib
👕 Main Street Mile t-shirt*
🥤 Post-race snacks and drinks
🍺 21 & Over: Beer and Bloody Mary bar tent
*Must be registered by 9/18 to guarantee a shirt
Day of & Bib Pick Up
Date: Sunday October 4th from 8AM till 8:45AM
Location: Captain Blue Hen Comics, 280 East Main Street Newark DE 19711
Instructions:

The race will start at 9AM.

Pick up your bib and swag and then head toward the McDonald's at the beginning of Main Street.

We will be sending off groups according to how fast you can complete the mile.

The following awards are given at the event:

Overall Male/Female (scored by gun time)

Overall Masters Male/Female (scored by gun time)

Top 3 in each age group Male/Female (scored by chip time)

9 & under | 10-13 | 14-19 | 20-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60-69 | 70+ (scored by chip time)

Municipal lots behind Kates, Grotto's and Cafe Gellato. (Pay before, not after)

You cannot park in the following areas - your car will be towed:

No parking on Main Street

No parking in the Newark Shopping Center
