Fitness Heights Intl and Double Back Productions have partnered to bring you a "Virtual Run through History - 400 Miles from 1619 and the Door of No Return."

Your registration will help bring supplies to those in homeless shelters and on the streets especially during the winter. Many homeless people are out on the street without gloves, hats, warmers for feet and hands, etc. Please register and/or give a donation. 

Participation Options- Run/Walk/Cycle/Hike/Swim - Register as an Individual or Team Today. Let's accumulate the Miles together throughout Black History month and continue through 3/31. 

Choose your option below: 

Set an individual or team goal as we embark on this journey together. Tag your photos on Social Media with #ARunThruHistory, #FitnessHeightsIntl #BlackHistoryMatters. All distances are needed to help us along this History journey together. Register and make your distance accumulate between 2/4 and 3/31.

Register as an Individual and complete 4 Miles 
Register as an individual and complete 40 Miles 
Register as a team and complete 400 Miles together. The team can decide how many miles each person, based on the endurance level of the participant. 
Example for Team Miles Split - 10 team members - 40 Miles each
Example for Team Miles Split - 15 team members - 27 Miles each 
Example for Team Miles Split -   5 team members - 80 Miles each  
Example for Team Miles Split -   3 team members - 135 Miles each
All participants submit your daily training miles on the results page to track your total miles. 

Checklist of what you get when you register:  

  • Each virtual registrant will earn the Premiere "400 Historical Medal" plus the Black Run Through History Shirt - 1619 "A Door of No Return"
  • Weekly historical Facts are emailed to each registered:  Learn about Robert Smalls, Shirley Chisholm, Martin Luther King, etc.
  • Travel groups Speak out -why they recommend Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal and more.
  • Fitness Heights Intl: @BCross Coach will send you training tips on how to make it through your 400 Mile Journey
  • A Run through History Athletes Speak - Hear about their journey and experiences that will enlighten you plus they will give tips on their plans to make it through this journey. We will hear from local runners, walkers, hikers, bikers, and swimmers.

How do I get started: Register today! 

Decide if you will register as an Individual or a Team with a goal of 400 Miles collectively.
If registering a team, identify a captain to help with setting up the Mileage Plan.
Decide how you will track your miles - Track miles via our results page, Strava, Nike, Garmin, etc and please post your progress on your Instagram, Facebook or blog and use the hashtag #RTH400 and/or #RunThruHistory400 #BikeThruHistory400 #WalkThruHistory400 #SwimThruHistory400

Join our group on the Strava App - where you can upload and track your miles in real-time. Look for Fitness Heights International - Run Through History. 
Whether it is 4 Miles, 40 Miles for the Month or 400 team Miles when you have reached the Finish Line, we appreciate your effort along this journey. 

Get Ready to join this Run Historical movement! Post pictures of your training, post about our history. Post when you run, walk, hike, bike, inside or outside of the house. Any and all activities count: Treadmills, indoor bikes, strength workouts will all count to help you through this journey. Get your teams together: everyone is welcome to exercise, learn history and keep each other accountable as we move through history.
