Description
BREAKING NEWS 11/5- We’ve just been designated as a USATF-CT Xctry series race!
Thanks to the committee for this honor. We look forward to seeing our state teams compete.
But Remember - this event is always open to all abilities!
Work off your high caloric Thanksgiving overindulgence with a great 3+ mile (5K) run on the trails,
grass & campus around the Trumbull High-Agricultural Center.
No traffic, gentle hills, & maybe some mud & slush if Mother Nature cooperates.
Believe it or not, this event was once voted "One of the most unique races in CT"
by some very interesting people who regularly dress as cows & other brown mammals.
Our run includes great long-sleeved shirts, post race food & fluids, some crazy prizes & leftovers for awards from at least 15 other races
(and maybe from some tag sales). Basically, it's anything we can find to keep costs down and have some fun.
UNFORTUNATELY WE CAN’T GET THE COW KEY CHAINS THAT POOP WHEN YOU SQUEEZE THEM.
BLAME IT ON THE SUPPLY CHAIN, TARIFFS or a CONSPIRACY. NOBODY HAS THEM-
But if you find any please let me know!
We will have some cow related swag but unfortunately they won’t poop this year…
FREE Kids Cow Patty Fun Run
The kids will each get something thanks to the Queen of Kids Runs Donna Cramond.
All abilities welcome to participate - ages 9 & under please!
(parents can accompany to avoid drama- theirs or yours)
Last year the ages of participants in our run ranged from 7 to 80+.
Wear your old running shoes if you are concerned about such things.
AWARDS- Overall M&F are separated from our age groups, Age groups awards for 1st & 2nd place only-
9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 & 80+ IF an 80+ is pre registered...
Fun & crazy prizes as the race director cleans out his basement to make room for winter storage.
I never know what I will run into.
Our proceeds will be given to Infinite Love for Kids Fighting Cancer in the name of Mia McCaffrey.
Any extra ca$h benefits the THS Girls Cross Country team.
REGISTER BY midnight NOV. 16 to GUARANTEE YOUR SHIRT SIZE.
After that, you will not have a choice and you'll get whatever is available. Sorry, but we must order & purchase shirts by 11/16
in order to ship and print in time. (We ain't Amazon!) Like most of you WE ARE FACING INVENTORY AND SUPPLY CHAIN
ISSUES and our printers are closed on Thanksgiving for the long, well deserved weekend.

yes we can always use sponsors and volunteers, now that you ask...
It is with a heavy heart that we dedicate a portion of the proceeds of the Cow Chip Cross Country in the name of forever 6-year-old Mia Rose McCaffrey, to Infinite Love for Kids Fighting Cancer. Mia was as brave and strong as she was caring and beautiful. Pediatric Cancer stole this little girl from us all and we will use this event to #MakeItAmazing in her name. Pediatric Cancer Research only receives 4% of the national cancer research funding. Infinite Love for Kids Cancer is a foundation that is dedicated to raising funds to improve the quality and quantity of treatment options for Childhood Cancers. This year they are committed to raising $250,000 to invest in research specific to Neuroblastoma. Through your registration, optional donation, and/ or sponsorship you are helping people, you are educating people, and you are providing people with the most precious thing one person can give another – HOPE! Thank you for being a part of the solution with us! Co- director & THS Girls Xctry coach Jim McCaffrey

Sponsor Opportunities
This event is dedicated to the life of Mia McCaffrey who left us all too soon. Her legendary smile and all we learned from her will live on and on and on. In the meantime we are committed to fight childhood cancer at every turn, at every straight-away, and at every chance we can. If you would like to sponsor this event or can get us in contact with someone that would like to help- send the info we need to Jim McCaffrey - jmccaffrey1031@gmail.com
In addition to this event Jim hosts the TuTu Run at Trumbull High in June each year. Please look for that and join us for more fun.
