Golden Eagle 5000

Starts and finishes inside the Jessie Owens stadium. The route goes through various points of interest on campus. Water stations on the route. There is also a Run 4 Paws Doggy Division as well.

Track Festival

Track races begin with 2 Mile Races. 800 Meters race to follow and concluding with the 1 Mile heats. Races will be slowest to fastest.

Course Information

Starting Line

Participants are encouraged to begin lining up no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of your event.

5K Run/Walk will be chipped timed through Aztlan Athletics. Results will be available at the event in the registration area just after you cross the finish line.

5K | 8:30A.M.

Track Distance Fest Starts at 10:00 A.M.

Course Details

5K course will cover the CSULA campus through the main boardwalk. Participants will cover historical monuments along the route including the MLK and Ruben Salazar buildings.

Recovery Water Stations

Water and electrolytes will be available on the 5K route and on the track. Note: snacks and recovery drinks must be consumed off the track in the concourse area.

First Aid Support

We will have a first aid team available on the north side of the track by the entrance and available to rove on the 5K course.

Parking

Allow plenty of time to get to the registration area and pick up your bib & t-shirt. Arrive early and factor in traffic to ensure you make it to the start line on time.

There is plenty of parking in the structure located behind the stadium in lot K. Follow the directional signs that will be installed by 6:00 A.M.

Parking can be accessed from University Drive off the 10 Fwy. Parking lot 10. Follow Event Parking signage. Staff will also be available to direct guests.

Run 4 Paws Doggy Division Info

Join us as we also celebrate running and walking with our pets. Registration includes a die-cast doggy bone shaped finisher medallion, a custom bib, and access to love your pet refresh and wellness zone.

Run 4 Paws is a pet wellness program run series that will culminate with the generations and motion 5K and pet wellness extravaganza on April 12, 2026 at the Los Angeles State historic Park.
