Description

Choose the plan that fits your goals and fitness level. The run group will met regularly on Saturday mornings near Scenic Loop Cafe and will typically be followed up with coffee and banter after. Social Group runs will also include Thursday nights at La Gloria Restaurant at the Dominion and a 3 Monday of the month runs from lululemon at la cantera mall. The times will vary depending on the weather and will be posted on our teams private facebook page.

Membership Levels

First Time Half and Full Marathon

If you’re ready to run your first half or full marathon, this plan is for you. The plan will start you at 20-25 miles a week and will cap out based on your level of progress. Some people will reach 40 miles a week and others will reach more. . Each week features four days of short runs, a long run, and two days of rest. The plan also includes interval work to help ease you into speedwork, and race pace runs to help you get used to running at the pace you’d like to target in the race

Intermediate Half or Marathon Plan

If you’ve finished a half or full marathon, and now want to finish faster, train with We Run San Antonio, which has been recognized as the San Antonio authority on training and racing for more than 15 years. This plan is geared for those who have been running for a year or more and can handle starting at 30 miles a week.  It will help you develop the speed and endurance you need to run your best race. Each week features two days of rest and five days of running. That includes hill work, interval work, to build leg and lung power, and goal pace runs.

Advanced Half and Full Marathon Plan

If you’re a veteran marathoner and want to see what it takes to go faster then this this training plan is geared for you. This is for a runner with at least three years of experience, who regularly logs 35 to 40 miles per week and has comfortably completed other marathons and shorter races. Each week features one day of rest and six days of running. That includes hill work, short and long intervals, race-pace runs and tune-ups to prep you for race day.
