Rain or shine. Heatwave or snowstorm. A dedicated group of volunteers shows up—every single day—to feed and care for more than 40 cats who call the Pier colony their home. These volunteers are the lifeline for cats who would otherwise face hunger, injury, or worse, living outside to fend for themselves, alone.
But food is only part of the story. Many of these cats, and others we rescue from the streets, arrive sick, injured, or abandoned—desperately needing medical care. Every rescue comes with a cost: sometimes hundreds, often thousands, in vet bills. We can’t turn away from a cat in pain, so we help them—and our bills keep climbing.
That’s why we’re lacing up for the Stray Cat Scurry 5K Walkathon—to raise funds to pay down our massive medical expenses and keep saving lives.
Your donation will go directly towards emergency medical care for injured and sick cats, supplies to care for cats in our rescue and ongoing support for our Pier colony. Every dollar brings us closer to giving a cat a second chance—whether that’s recovering from surgery, healing from neglect, or finally finding a safe, loving home.
Stray Cat Relief is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all proceeds from the Scurry will help us continue our mission: rescuing, healing, and rehoming cats who need us most.
Please help us reach our goal. Together, we can turn suffering into hope—one paw at a time.
