5. 12/18 - Freestyle clinic, with more advanced drills and focus on open water.

You'll be working with French Creek Racing coaches Mack Henderson and John Kenny.  These 5 clinics are open to swimmers and multi-sport athletes of all levels.  Our primary focus will be to improve your overall efficiency and speed, both in the pool and in open water.  By participating, you will learn and practice drills focused on the following:
1. Freestyle: Long axis body balance, streamline, EVF catch, rotation, propulsion, kicking, recovery, and more.
2. Backstroke: Learn how backstroke has much in common with freestyle on the long axis.  All the benefits of the freestyle clinic, plus working on drills to create a new balance position.
3. Breaststroke: Moving to the short axis, we'll work on timing, breathing, proper engagement for an efficient breaststroke stroke.
4. Butterfly: Continuing on the short axis, butterfly can be the most challenging stroke aerobically.  We'll break down this challenging stroke into bit sized pieces so anyone can learn it, or learn to be more proficient.
5. Freestyle: Continuing from what we learned at our first freestyle clinic, we'll continue to build upon drills learned previously and incorporate more advanced drills, in addition to some drills focused on open water.

You can immediately incorporate what you learn into your swim workouts and stroke routine.
What to expect post clinic:
- Improved efficiency and connectivity with the water over time
- Conserving energy
- Swimming faster with less energy expenditure in the pool and open water

12/11 Yoga Clinic Description:
Learn self-myofascial release techniques and yoga style stretching to target tightness and increase mobility.  This class will teach you how to use self myofascial release tools (such as Tune-up fitness brand balls or tennis balls) to massage tight and overworked muscles.  Combining self massage techniques with deep long held stretches to release long held tightness and improve flexibility and mobility.  Perfect for swimmers, runners, and cyclists.  You will need: myofascial balls (tune up fitness brand) or 2 tennis balls in a sock and a yoga mat/equivalent, yoga block(s) and a strap if you have them.

For all participants, we recommend bringing any swim equipment you own.  If you don't own a pair of fins, we'd suggest picking up a pair prior to these sessions, particularly for beginning level swimmers.  Fins will be optional for most clinics.
