1-mile Twinkle Trot
Event Description
The first race in the 2026 Moon City Challenge, this new run is an evening race at Veteran's Park in Wapakoneta. Starting at 9:15 p.m., runners will run by moonlight to earn their special Glow In The Dark medal, and check off the first run in this year's edition of the Moon City Challenge. Featuring glow-in-the dark t-shirts as swag, runners are encouraged to add glow-in-the-dark necklaces, bracelets, shoelaces -- even deely-boppers to help light their way from the starting gate to the finish line!

Information about packet pick up will be released at a later date.
Parking Information:
Veteran's Park, located at the south end of Wagner Street, has ample parking for race participants.
Moon City Challenge
Register for the Moon Series and receive the extra MOON CITY CHALLENGE Medal for all 3 races! This includes the Moon Light Glow 5K June 20, Rocket To The Moon July 4th and Run to the Moon - July 18th).
* VIRTUAL: If you cannot make one or all of the races for the "In-Person" events, you have the option to participate virtually for one, two or all of them and still receive the Challenge Medal!
* The Moon City Challenge Medal will be awarded at the 3rd race in the series. Runners signed up for the Challenge (Fly, Rocket and Run to the Moon) will also receive the Cool Challenge Medal. Virtual runners also quality for this special medal. Virtual runners are charged a fee to mail the medal.
