Two years ago I met the sweetest pup hiding under the table at a puppy meet and greet. She was so scared of all the people and when I leaned down to pet her, my heart was so sad when she shuddered away from the touch. After leaving the event that day, I could not get her out of my head. So I looked her up on their website and a few weeks later she was mine. It was a slow road gaining her trust and showing her that this human was not going to hurt her. But I knew from her amazing foster mama that progress could be made and she would grow. I cannot imagine my life now without my sweetest girl, Riley. My heart fills with joy when I come home from work, or even wake up in the morning, and her tail wags so hard it looks like a windmill. I love celebrating all her successes and seeing her make positive human connections when those are so very hard for her make. I would not have Riley without Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue, and many other dogs would not be able to find their forever homes. Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue is an effort grounded in love, dedication and determination. A nonprofit organization, CHDR is 501 (c)3 status. State of Wisconsin licensed and inspected: 400340-DS. We rely solely on volunteers and donations to support our rescue effort. We are based out of the Twin Cities area, where all of our dogs live in approved foster homes before going to their forever homes. We value the importance of the highest quality veterinary care and finding loving foster and forever homes for every dog that comes to Coco's Heart.
