Cambridge Camping's mission is to provide meaningful experiences to urban children from under-resourced circumstances in supportive and inclusive camp communities through enriching and inspiring programs. Camp is where children laugh, play, join in, and make memories to last a lifetime. Cambridge Camping Association (CCA) has provided access and summer programming to urban youth from under-resourced circumstances. Beginning in 1893 and incorporated the organization initially offered placements for children from low-income backgrounds to enjoy a "Country Week,” and time away from the city. CCA continues this work today by providing referral and scholarship services for day and overnight camps through our legacy program, CCAccess. In 1969, the agency opened its first camp, Cambridge Adventure Day Camp, a program that is multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and multicultural in its composition and outlook. In 1990, CCA launched Daybreak Day Camp to meet the needs of campers with social, emotional, and behavioral health needs related to trauma and disability. In 2018, CCA launched a school-year Saturday program, Club Daybreak, offering Daybreak campers increased opportunities for support and mentorship,  during the school year. In 2020 CCA will begin providing trauma sensitive care training opportunities for staff and caregivers in and around Cambridge. As CCA marks its 126th anniversary, we celebrate our service to more than 25,000 children and we continue to offer extraordinary summer and school year experiences to more than 500 youth and families annually through CCAccess, Cambridge Adventure Day Camp, and Daybreak Day Camp.
