The Arc of Bristol County dba proAbility is a non-profit, disability service provider serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout Bristol County, Massachusetts and Northern Rhode Island.

We offer a wide range of programs that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their families, in living their best lives. We are proud of the accomplishments we’ve made since our chapter began over 65 years ago, and we are grateful to all the community supporters who have helped make our dreams a reality. We are ArcStrong!

Our mission is to foster community partnerships, promote individual advocacy and create a pathway for growth and innovation by offering exceptional support and services to people with all abilities through the attraction, development and retention of superior talent who passionately demonstrate best practices. 

We know that every person and family is unique, so we use our combined knowledge to help meet their different needs. We do this by connecting within local communities through schools, other nonprofits, and local businesses. Our staff members hold various degrees in human services, social work, psychology, and more, and they collaborate to provide personalized support.
