Raising Harts supports families with autistic & neurodiverse children through mentorship, workshops, and inclusive programming.

Raising Harts was founded in 2022 by Candice Hartford on behalf her Autistic twin boys, Keaton and Grady, and their little sister, Isla. As parents of twin Autistic boys, Candice and her husband, Kenny, experienced the fear, isolation, and anxiety of navigating an autism diagnosis. Raising Harts' goal is to not let any family navigate the autism journey alone. We do this by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where parents can make connections and receive support, and creating inclusive places where kids can just be themselves.  

We are so fortunate to have such a strong partner in the Flutie Association, and we are thrilled to be a part of the Flutie 5K, as both of our organizations are aligned in our mission help create an inclusive and vibrant future for autistic children. The funds we raise help support our programs, including parent support groups, sibling groups, social groups, newly diagnosed mentoring, inclusive events for children, topical presentations, such as guidance on creating individualized education plans, and so much more.
