I'm an 11-year breast cancer survivor, and I know I’m one of the lucky ones who is still here today.

What KWF provided for me during my cancer treatment was truly priceless. It changed my outlook, lifted my spirits, and gave me the inspiration and motivation to keep fighting. Because of the impact KWF had on my journey, I’ve dedicated the last several years to paying it forward and helping the next woman who hears the words, "You have cancer."

That’s why I’m participating in the 5th Annual KWF FUN Run 5K & Recipient Celebration — to help bring moments of joy to women and families living with breast cancer.

When someone is going through treatment, life quickly becomes filled with doctor’s appointments, chemo sessions, scans, and uncertainty. KWF exists to provide something different: a gift of FUN and something exciting to look forward to during an incredibly difficult time.

Every dollar raised helps create meaningful experiences and lasting memories for women and families facing breast cancer. Thank you for helping us bring hope, joy, and moments of FUN to those who need it most.

With the support of friends like you, KWF puts FUN back on the calendars of women and families living with breast cancer by sending them on special vacations, relaxing spa days, concerts, and other joy-filled experiences. Since 2007, recipients have traded chemo chairs for sunrise hikes, sandy beaches, backstage passes, and more.
