HOW WE STARTED:
Although our business name has recently changed from “Ted Michaud & Associates” to “Red Barn Promos”, we have been around since 1984, owned and operated by Ted Michaud and family. After serving in the military and then working in broadcasting for 13 years, he realized he wanted to pursue business ownership. With his wife (Bart) and two young boys at home, he took a leap of faith and left his job at the radio station to pursue his new venture. Ted did the selling and Bart took care of the bookkeeping…and the boys and the household.

WHAT CHANGED: 
The business continued to grow and prosper with new sales reps added to the mix. In 2005, he gained a daughter-in-law (Diana) who began working as a sales rep for the business in 2006. And in 2021, Ted and Bart realized their hard work over the years had paid off and they were ready to slow down and let Diana run the show. In June of 2021, Diana assumed ownership and changed the business name to “Red Barn Promos”. 

WHY “RED BARN”: 
The image of a red barn evokes American pride and represents the American dream. In addition to this, there is an actual red barn on the family farm in between the homes of Ted and Diana! This barn housed our offices for a few years, until two floods (Hurricane Matthew 2016 and Hurricane Florence 2018) took their toll on the office space. The barn was repaired but functions solely as a barn now. However, its history with the Michaud business, coupled with the physical location between the two Michaud households, symbolizes a bridge from one generation to the next, something shared between both Michaud families.
