Since 1994, Water Stone has been a cornerstone of outdoor adventure in the New River Gorge—outfitting climbers, hikers, runners, and explorers with top-quality gear, expert advice, and a friendly, down-to-earth spirit. Staffed by outdoor enthusiasts who live what they love, Water Stone has built a national reputation while staying rooted in community.
Highball participants will also love The Brew Garden, tucked inside the shop. It’s the perfect spot to grab a morning cappuccino before hitting the trails for a shakeout run, sip a cold beer the Monday after the race, or relax on the deck with locally roasted coffee, a good book, and some trail stories.
We couldn’t imagine a better place to gather the Highball community on race weekend. Stop by on Saturday, May 16, 2026 for packet pickup, stock up on gear, and enjoy a taste of Fayetteville hospitality before tackling the Gorge.
