With the endurance industry facing uncertainty due to COVID-19 and related restrictions on gatherings, RunSignup has announced they will not hold a 2020 Summer Symposium. The biannual RunSignup Symposiums are an educational and networking opportunity for race directors, timers, and nonprofits; this year, RunSignup will shift their focus to providing virtual tools and resources to help the endurance industry navigate the coronavirus crisis.
In response to the wave of Coronavirus-related restrictions on public gatherings, RunSignup has released new tools to help race organizers navigate the process of postponing or modifying their events. While some events are outright cancelling, many others are working towards a flexible postponement and/or moving runners to a virtual race option, and these tools are geared towards reducing chargebacks and refunds by improving communication with participants and providing alternative options for events.
Early registration is now open for the 2020 RunSignup Summer Symposium, taking place July 27-29, 2020 at the Warwick Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. RunSignup’s biannual Symposiums offer race directors, timers, nonprofits, and other industry professionals an opportunity to invest in their education and connect with their peers.
RunSignup, the leading technology provider for races in the US, reached a milestone on February 14, 2020 by officially processing more than $1 billion for their customers. The transactions represent over 24 million registrations and nearly $100 million in donations.
